Region: Sicily, Italy
Varietal: Blend of 60% Muscat of Alexandria & 40% Albanello
Tasting Notes: An intense straw yellow color. On the nose, Moscato is the master with an interesting island variation: fresh grapes, pickled olives, Mediterranean scrub, broom, fresh cedar peel. In the mouth it is salty and fresh, with a good structure and balsamic-citrusy length. Definitely interesting wine, it is very good as a snack with sage and fried anchovies, as at dinner, for example with a fragrant packet of monkfish and vegetables.
