Region: Piedmont, Italy
Varietal: 100% Nebbiolo
Tasting Notes: The 2013 Barolo Garblèt Sue’ is another striking wine. In most vintages, the Garblèt is a bit nervous and compact, especially in the mid-palate, where the wine sometimes lacks depth, which, in turn, exposes the tannins. The 2013, on the other hand, is wonderfully full, luscious and textured, while expressing all the signatures that make wines from this site so special. There is plenty of tannin and drive to ensure many years of exceptional drinking. Scents of iron, smoke, herbs and licorice add the closing shades of nuances. What a gorgeous wine this is.
